Annette Densham and Lauren Clemett of The Audacious Agency (TAA) scored a significant victory at the 19th Stevie Awards for Women in Business this month. At a gala event in Las Vegas, they were awarded the top Grand Stevie® trophy, beating out runner-up IBM by 50 points. This win gave them their fifth Grand Stevie® dating back to 2018.
This victory is a monumental achievement, as organisers for the Stevie Awards for Women in Business receive 1,500 submissions annually. Grand Stevie winners are determined by the number of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie winners from a specific organisation.
By besting a multinational corporation, The Audacious Agency has demonstrated its effectiveness in helping women entrepreneurs get the recognition they deserve. The team guided, helped over 20 Australian women win over 40 categories in this year’s awards program, with an impressive haul of seven gold trophies, 11 silver and 23 bronze.
TAA has consistently achieved these results thanks to its tightly-knit team of professionals. They create customised award entries that captivate and command attention by combining decades of marketing, branding and PR expertise. This approach brings compelling stories, explaining TAA’s high success rate in pitching their clients to award organisers.
Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards, said, “In its 19th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received outstanding nominations from women in organisations of all types, in 27 nations. We are gratified by how meaningful it is to women to win a Stevie Award, and how impactful it can be on the futures of their careers and their organisations. We congratulate all this year’s Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners for their achievements.”
Annette and Lauren, co-directors of The Audacious Agency, were in Las Vegas, Nevada to accept their Grand Stevie® Award.
Upon accepting the trophy, Lauren Clemett remarked: “To be trusted to take a business’s story and weave it into an outstanding award entry that wows is an incredible honour for us.”
Annette Densham added: “We have to get past the fear, the doubt, the imposter syndrome… and draw out the amazingness of the business, of the leaders we work with.”
“We are so fortunate to be involved with so many small business award entries, especially these ones tonight. And we love it when our clients email us back when they read the entries we create, with things like, ‘This doesn’t sound like my business – are you sure it’s me? This business sounds too good.’ Well, you guys are good, you are amazing,” Lauren said.
Annette said, “As entrepreneurs, our number one job in business is to market ourselves and our business. There’s no money in being the best-kept secret – if you don’t back yourself and confidently tell your story, it’s not conducive to business growth. So get out there – there’s no place in business for modesty. You deserve to be well-known, well-paid and wanted.”
