Ukraine has started a crowdfunding initiative in the form of an NFT collection, positioning the country as a startup. The project is spearheaded by the UNITED24 Foundation, which was established under the guidance of the President of Ukraine, in collaboration with the crypto-media outlet, Incrypted. The goal is to raise $1 million, which will be used to purchase naval combat drones for UNITED24’s fundraising platform.
The UACatsDivision collection is the first national collection of NFT cats in Ukraine and features various Ukrainian heroes depicted as cats. These include territorial defense cats, marine cats, doctor cats, journalist cats, and 10,000 other cats dedicated to protecting their homeland from external threats. Users can create their own unique feline hero and contribute to the cause of Ukrainian victory.
The project aims to showcase the heroism of the Ukrainian people in their pursuit of freedom and independence. The UACatsDivision team intends to immortalize these hero-cats in an NFT collection that will symbolize Ukrainian strength. To enable non-crypto individuals to participate, the team has made it possible to purchase NFT cats using traditional payment methods like credit and debit cards.
Incrypted, a well-known Ukrainian crypto media outlet, is collaborating on the project. Since the full-scale invasion, the organization has been organizing fundraisers for charitable projects through the global crypto community. This partnership with the UACatsDivision collection can encourage newcomers to learn about the crypto world while simultaneously supporting Ukraine.
